This class, Teacher answered home work in lesson 2 (Recount) and she assigned to make group of 3 for discuss and summarize about Investigation report.
The story was about “There were a woman and a boy. They drove too fast so they were stopped by the police. The police asked them to see their license, but They pretended not to understand what the police was asking for. And the truck wasn’t theirs. Finally, they could escape because the police was struck in the mud.”

After that, the teacher gave new handouts. It's about Narratives, I'm used to hear that from the Introduction of Literary course, but I can't remember what it means.

Then I search meaning of it. It's mean "A spoken or written account of connected events."

Purpose:  the basic purpose of Narratives is to entertain, to gain and hold the reader's interest in a story.
Types: They're typically imaginary but can be factual as a fairy story, mysteries, science fiction etc.

Text Organization:  Narratives usually begins with an orientation, where the writer attempts to sketch in or create the "possible world" of this particular story.

The story is pushed along by a series of event, during which we usually expect some sort of complication or problem to arise.

Language Features:
Specific, often individual participants with defined identities. Major participants are human, or animals with human characteristics.
Normally past tense.
Many liking words to do with time
