Week 10 : Cause and Effect

            In class, teacher have a meeting so she gave Cause and Effect's handout and assigned to read, understood and make all exercise. She will back at 9.00 am.

Cause/Effect is used to show how the or concept result due to other facts, events or concept. Words that signal this type of text structure are because, as a result of, thus, and hence.

Week 9 : Comparison and Contrast (continued)

          Last week, I had studied about Comparison and Contrast but it haven't completed. Today, I studied it continued.
          We started to learn on page 37. The teacher explain about text 2 and do exercise on page 38.
         After that, the teacher assigned to read and understood the text about " Men and Women: Do They Speak the Same Language? ". And, then she helped to find discourse markers. And, then teacher summarized this text.


             Differences between the women and men's language.

Week 8 : Procedure (continued) and Comparison & Contrast



             Last week, I had studied about Procedure but it haven't completed. Today, I studied it continued.

       The purpose of  Procedure is to tell the reader how to do or make something. The information is presented in a logical sequence of events which is broken up into small sequence steps. Usually writes in the present tense.


      Text organisation
• Goal (often indicated in the main heading and /or diagram)
• Materials (listed in order of use)
• Method (steps oriented towards achieving the goal)
 After that, The teacher ordered to make exercise page 34.
    I did exercises in lesson. This lesson is short and easy to understand. You can see many things from this lesson on your daily  like a Game instructions, How to use microwave television etc.



             The teacher gave Comparison & Contrast's handout and, then she explained about it and she told about the comparison or similarities markers as a

And then she assigned to read texts. First text, it's Differences and Similarities Subway systems of New York and Paris. I had to found markers for understood it and wrote difference and similarities it on whiteboard. And then, she assigned to do it's exercise.
